Tribal Women and Youth Development

At the Board of Environmental Sustainability Trust (BEST), our mission of “Transforming the World” is rooted in empowering communities. The Tribal Women and Youth Development initiative is a flagship program designed to uplift tribal communities by enhancing their skills, fostering self-reliance, and creating sustainable opportunities for growth and development.

Why Focus on Tribal Women and Youth?

Tribal communities often face socio-economic challenges, including limited access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities. Women and youth in these communities hold the potential to drive change but require targeted support to overcome systemic barriers. By investing in them, we can:

  • Preserve Cultural Heritage: Empowering communities ensures the continuity of rich tribal traditions and knowledge.

  • Promote Sustainable Practices: Tribals often possess eco-friendly lifestyles that align with environmental sustainability.

  • Catalyze Socio-Economic Growth: Women and youth are vital contributors to community development when equipped with the right resources and skills.

Objectives of the Initiative

  1. Skill Development: Provide vocational training and capacity-building programs tailored to the needs of tribal women and youth.

  2. Entrepreneurship: Facilitate the creation of small businesses through training, financial assistance, and market access.

  3. Education and Awareness: Enhance literacy and awareness about health, rights, and sustainable living practices.

  4. Employment Opportunities: Partner with industries and organizations to create job opportunities for tribal youth.
